The LSU staff was intrigued enough by Kavahra Holmes to invite the Breaux Bridge star back into town on Tuesday after he camped in Baton Rouge on Sunday and Monday.
A standout among the crop of 2012 receivers on hand, Holmes showed off blazing speed (his time of 46.3 last month was the fastest in the country for the 400 meters) and good hands – enough for the staff to pull the trigger and offer a third Breaux Bridge prospect for the upcoming signing class.
“We came back over and talked with the coaches, and that’s when they offered,” Holmes said. “I went ahead and committed.”
The commitment is LSU’s 13th for the 2012 class, and he’s the third wide receiver prospect to the group.
