Tigers' Jones tabbed All-American

LSU freshman JaCoby Jones earns prestigous spot after solid rookie season.

LSU second baseman JaCoby Jones landed a spot on the Collegiate Baseball 2011 Freshmen All-America team released Wednesday.

Anchored by a strong finish, Jones batted .338 (66-for-195) in his first season with the Tigers, with 11 doubles, a triple, four home runs, 32 RBIs, 36 runs scored and 12 steals.

He hit .426 (23-for-54) in the final 15 games. Last month the Richton, Miss., native was voted to the All-SEC freshmen team.
