Five-star prospect Landon Collins, a New Orleans native who spent his high school playing days at Dutchtown, might be the most anticipated decision of the day.
The two teams Collins will apparently choose between are LSU and Alabama, the same two teams that will collide Monday for the 2011 BCS National Championship in Collins' hometown.
If Collins has his decision made, it's been one of the best kept secrets in the 2012 class. Upon arrival in Orlando earlier this week, Collins said his mind was made and the coaches from both staffs would know the final word before his announcement on Thursday.
Collins, the Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year, took just two official visits: One to Tuscaloosa on Nov. 5, for the LSU game, and the second to Baton Rouge on Dec. 16. The dead period set in the day after Collins returned home from Baton Rouge, meaning the five-star prospect has been in charge of making the phone calls to coaching staffs between then and his decision on Thursday.
