West Jeff DB getting looks
Cox, who is a huge force in the middle of the field at 6-foot-4, 185 pounds, carries a 2.5 grade point average and he recently became a full academic qualifier when he scored a 20 on the ACT. Is he leaning anywhere?
"I talk to coach (Doug) Nussmeier (Michigan State QBs coach) at least once a week and he's talking to the head coach to see if they'll give me an offer," Cox said. "Coach (Rich) Rodriguez at West Virginia signed a couple of my teammates last year, Fernandez McDowell and James Alford, so I would know people up there."
LSU has not extended a scholarship offer up to this point, but that does not mean the Tigers are not interested.
"I talked to coach Thompson (Lance) and I'm going up there in a couple of weeks," said Cox. "It's a good school and they have a lot of good players. They're real competitive. They haven't offered yet but if they did I would definitely take them into consdieration."
