Jonathon Crawford went 6-2 with a 3.13 ERA in 77.2 innings pitched during the 2012 season. Crawford allowed 75 hits and 24 walks while striking out 73 hitters and allowing opponents a .260 batting average against. He allowed just two home runs on the season.
Over the summer with Team USA, Crawford went 3-0 with a 2.10 ERA, including two wins over Cuba.
The breakout sophomore season was a surprise because of his freshman year. Crawford threw just 3.2 innings early in the season as a freshman before not seeing the mound again that year.
He became more consistent during the offseason between his freshman and sophomore seasons, changing his arm slot to help him throw more consistent strikes.
Crawford and Karsten Whitson will anchor the Florida pitching staff in 2013.
