After three days of selections, nine LSU players were taken in the 2013 NFL Draft. A record six former Tigers had been taken in the first three rounds of the draft, and three more were taken on Day 3 to wrap things up.
After being arrested on Thursday night, CB Tharold Simon was taken early in the fifth round by Seattle Seahawks with the 138th overall pick.
DE Lavar Edwards went shortly after Simon, going to the Tennessee Titans with the 142nd pick. RB Spencer Ware was the last Tiger taken, a sixth-round pick by Seattle.
Those three join DE Barkevious Mingo, S Eric Reid, LB Kevin Minter, CB Tyrann Mahtieu, DT Bennie Logan and DE Sam Montgomery as former LSU stars taken in the draft.
Three underclassmen that opted to forego their final season of eligibility went undrafted, though they all signed free agent contracts on Saturday. OT Chris Faulk signed with the Cleveland Browns, RB Michael Ford with the Chicago Bears and P Brad Wing with the Philadelphia Eagles.
WR Russell Shepard also signed with the Eagles, TE Chase Clement signed with the New York Giants and DE Chancey Aghayere signed with the Seahawks.
