A source has informed TSD that Johnny Jones will hire former UCLA assistant Korey McCray to his staff.

LSU will hire former UCLA assistant Korey McCray to Johnny Jones' basketball staff, according to a source.

McCray spent two seasons at UCLA, helping build one of the nation's top recruiting classes in 2012, before being let go after head coach Ben Howland was fired in March. Prior to his stint at UCLA, he was an assistant coach at Mercer, his alma mater, in 2007-08 and Chipola Junior College in 2004-05.

He also served as a graduate assistant at Florida State for two seasons starting in 2003. McCray has also spent time working as a skill development trainer for NBA athletes, including Dwight Howard, Jarrett Jack and Acie Law.
