-- With Anthony Hickey
and Andre Stringer
nowhere near their best in Sunday's third-place game versus Butler
(5-2) had to turn to its bench.
What Johnny Jones got from his bench, in particular senior Shavon Coleman
and sophomore Malik Morgan
, was almost as unexpected as Hickey and Stringer slumping.
Morgan finished with 12 points, seven rebounds (five offensive) and three steals in 28 minutes played. Coleman, who saw defensive matchups against the best Butler had to offer, scored 12 points on 2-of-4 shooting from deep.
Following the game, I spoke with both players about their big efforts in relief. Check out their responses below in HD video.
