LSU fell to 17-11 overall, 8-8 in the SEC, with a 79-61 loss in Gainesville Saturday afternoon. Johnny O'Bryant notched 18 points in defeat for the Tigers.

It was a wire-to-wire affair for the nation's top team at home.

No. 1 Florida (27-2, 16-0) got off to an 8-0 start on LSU (17-11, 8-8) and never looked back, trouncing the Tigers 79-61 in Gainesville Saturday afternoon.

Billy Donovan's Gators connected on a slew of unguarded outside shots, finishing the contest 13-of-23 from three-point land. Florida, which sped the game up from jump street via full-court pressure, shot a sizzling 31-of-55 (56.4%) from the field.

The Tigers, with only two points off the bench, played like a short-handed team from the opening tap. With a limited rotation, LSU also succumbed to Florida's pressure, committing 15 turnovers (to only 12 assists).

Johnny O'Bryant led the way for the Tigers in defeat, posting 18 points and seven rebounds. LSU as a team slumped to 38.3% shooting from the floor.

Sophomore forward Dorian Finney-Smith scored 16 points off the bench for Florida, which got 39 combined points from the trio of Scottie Wilbekin, Michael Frazier and Casey Prather.

LSU wraps up conference play at Vanderbilt Thursday night before the home finale versus Georgia on Saturday.
