Chris Keys
, a four-star safety, committed to the LSU Tigers in March. Since then, Keys' life has taken a dramatic change. He transferred from Port Barre High School in Port Barre, Louisiana, to North Jackson High School in Stevenson, Alabama. He is currently living with star athlete, Ali Sharrief, and his family. He discusses his move and his future.
"A few things happened where I came from, and I needed to move. It's a true blessing to be able to come over here. Everyone deserves a second chance. I really thank the Sharriefs a lot for letting me come live with them," said

Keys and Sharrief have not known each other that long. Their friendship now, feels as if they have been friends forever.
"We met at the
LSU
football camp. We became really close and always talked to each other," said Keys.
Keys would love for Sharrief to follow in his footsteps, and play with him at LSU. Sharrief has LSU high on his list.
"We talk about playing together. We both know that we have our own minds. I am going to back him up no matter where he chooses to go. He will do the same with me. I would love to be teammates with him in college. He (Sharrief) is looking at four schools. He is not close in making a decision. He wants to visit all those schools before he makes his commitment," said Keys.
When asked about his commitment to LSU, Keys replied, "Yes, I am still firmly committed. I will only visit LSU. I will not visit anywhere else. I have received a lot of offers. I have always wanted to go to LSU since I was a kid. It is close for my family to attend the games."
Keys attended one summer camp, and he likes his future coaching staff.
"I only attended the LSU camp. The LSU coaching staff is great. They all treat you like you are one of their best friends. I like the way everything is coming together down there. They will have a winning program for the next several years."
With Keys being a late edition to the North Jackson football team, expectations are high. They now have two big time players.
"We will definitely be contending for a state title. We have a lot of seniors coming back this year. We are going to be playing in the state championship in December," said Keys.
