For the second straight week, the LSU Lady Tigers basketball team is on top of the Associated Press poll, the only difference is this week the Lady Tigers are unanimous.

LSU (8-0) defeated North Texas last Tuesday in the team's lone game of the week and received all 45 first-place votes from the media organization.

This is the sixth week in the program's history to be ranked No. 1 and LSU has compiled a 12-1 record as the nation's top team, including recording an 11-1 mark during the four week span at No. 1 in the 1977-78 season.

LSU held on to number, while Stanford, the only other undefeated team in the top 10, moved up to second. Duke is third followed by Texas, North Carolina, Baylor, Notre Dame, UConn, Tennessee and Ohio round out the top 10.

The Lady Tigers, who do not play this week due to final exams, return to action Dec. 14 at No. 16 Minnesota.
