Former LSU standout Norman LeJeune has been recognized by NFL Europe as the league's defensive player of the week following his performance in Amsterdam's 37-24 win over Cologne.

LeJeune, now a member of the NFL's Tennessee Titans, had seven tackles, three passes defended and a pair of interceptions in the victory. LeJeune's interceptions halted two Centurion's scoring threats with first coming in third quarter on Amsterdam's 1-yard line and the second coming in Admiral's endzone late in the fourth quarter.

LeJeune, a native of Brusly, La., was a 3-year starter for the Tigers, playing in 44 games with 24 starts. He capped his Tiger career in 2002 with 107 tackles and five sacks before being selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the seventh round of the 2003 NFL Draft.

LeJeune is one of four former Tigers playing in NFL Europe this spring, joining defensive backs Jack Hunt and Adrian Mayes and offensive lineman Rodney Reed.
