ATHLON SPORTS NAMES LSU NO. 9 IN PRESEASON TOP 25 POLL

Athlon Sports, publisher of America's Premier Sports Annuals, is releasing its preseason Top 25 at www.athlonsports.com. LSU checks in at No. 9.

Athlon Sports predicts LSU to finish first in the SEC.

DL Claude Wroten is named a preseason Second-Team All-American.

OL Andrew Whitworth, DL Kyle Williams, and DB LaRon Landry are named preseason Third-Team All-American.

WR Skyler Green is named preseason First-Team All-SEC.

RB Alley Broussard and TE David Jones are named preseason Second-Team All-SEC.

K Chris Jackson is named preseason Third-Team All-SEC.

LSU’s Ryan Perrilloux is rated the No. 1 incoming freshman in the SEC.

Magazines will hit newsstands on May 31. The SEC regional edition cover will feature RB Alley Broussard, WR Skyler Green, and OL Andrew Whitworth.
