With a little more than a week to
go until National Signing Day, though, Tillman’s pledge has been anything but
solid.
The 6-4, 250-pound defensive end
took his official visit to LSU this weekend and one of the questions he needed
answered was how did he fit in with the players?
“I really liked how I fit in with
them,” Tillman told Tiger Rag. “Everybody has good facilities and good academic
programs but I really liked the players at LSU.”
Tillman and his mother spent a
lot of time talking to Les Miles about what the future may hold.
“He told us both how bad they
want me and that they need me to come in and help them,” said Tillman. “That
felt good.”
Heading into this weekend, Tillman was struggling with his
pledge because Ole Miss and Alabama are on him hot and heavy.
Did his trip to LSU do anything
to solidify his pledge and does he still consider himself committed to the
Tigers?
“The visit did help me feel a
little better about my commitment and I still consider committed to LSU,” he
said. “But, I do need to sit down with my family and talk about a couple of
things between now and signing day.”
Tillman said he told Miles that
he wanted to take his last official visit to Alabama next weekend and the Tigers’ head
coach was very understanding.
“He told me that if I felt like I
needed to go on another trip then to take it,” Tillman said. “He said that I
need to do what is best for me but he told me again how much they want me.”
