Scott says best visit yet

Scott gave the LSU trip a 9

4-star cornerback James Scott (5-10, 165, 4.5) has taken an official visit to Ohio State and an unofficial trip to Florida but his official to LSU last weekend was his best trip so far.

"I enjoyed this one a lot," said James Scott. "I'd say this was the best one. It's hard to compare the schools because they all have unique things about them. But, the thing I liked best about LSU was the defense and the aggressiveness that the corners showed. That's what stood out the most to me."

Scott said he spent a lot of time hanging out with the players to see how he meshed with them. However, he also spent a good bit of time talking to the coaches about the depth chart.

"I got to go into the locker room after the game and met with Dwayne Bowe, JaMarcus Russell and Ryan Perriloux," said Scott. "The coaches just talked to me about how they were losing two seniors at corner and only had four players on scholarship that will be competing at that position. I guess they meant I could get some early playing time. I'm not necessarily looking for that, but if the opportunity arises, I'll be ready."

Scott said that he rated his trip a 9 on a scale of 1-10 and said he enjoyed himself.

"It was my first time in Tiger Stadium so that was a good experience," said Scott. "I got to see the campus and Baton Rouge. I got to visit the academic center and hung out to really get a feel for what LSU was all about."

As far as the game, Scott said, "It was a little chilly, but the atmosphere was good."

Although he has been on three trips, Scott said he is no closer to picking a favorite. He plans on finishing the remaining trips to Alabama and Florida before he sits down and decides what school will be best for him.
