It has previously been reported on Scout.com that Jones has already made his decision for where he will continue his football career, though he will not announce until he has taken all of his visits.
Already receiving accolades following his junior season, Jones has continued to add to his appeal during his senior campaign, where he has grabbed eight interceptions and somewhere in the neighborhood of 120 tackles while leading Southern Lab to the semifinal round of the Class A playoffs, which will be played Friday. He has also scored 11 touchdowns on offense.
What did Jones have to say about his top five?
USC- "I don't know a whole lot about them but I like their defense."
LSU- "I know them. I know all the coaches, a lot of the players, and the people they are recruiting. I've got a really good feeling about them."
All five of Jones' top schools have also given him the green light to be a two-sport collegiate athlete, as he is also a standout baseball prospect.
How does he feel about his two leaders and their programs on the diamond?
"USC has a lot of tradition and
they play a lot of good baseball on the west coast," he said. "LSU has just as
much tradition and at one time was the king of the hill in college baseball.

With Jones having said he will not
announce anything until after his visits, he will be one step closer later in
December, with a visit to USC scheduled for December 15. The trip to
"I like talking to him," Jones said of coach Fisher. "I talk to him at all the home games, and he will call me sometimes. I talk to all of the coaches at the games, and coach Miles when I can. I feel like I have a real good relationship with their staff."
Jones added that he is expecting a home visit from the LSU coaches some time next week.
When asked about what he is looking for in a college, Jones said that he wants to go somewhere that is in a strong city.
"All of my top schools are losing safeties this year," He said. "Playing time isn't really an issue. I'm a city boy. The big deal is what is around the college. I can't live in the middle of nowhere."
