Jones has already made his visit
to USC, going on December 12, and will finally take his official visit to LSU on
January 26, though the school will be nothing new to the star defensive back, as
he has spent many weekends with the Tigers unofficially this season. He said
that he is also trying to schedule a trip to
Though he did not participate in the Army All Star game, Jones did create quite a stir recently in the Offense/Defense All-American Bowl, where he recorded five tackles in limited playing time and was named the special team's player of the game as a punt returner; all with a cast on his right hand.
"I tore a ligament back in August and played with it all season," he said. "I just finally had the surgery on it a month ago. It shouldn't keep me down for long, though. I'll be ready for baseball season."
Talking baseball, the outfielder/southpaw pitcher who could be a high pick in the major league draft also shared a few words with Tiger Rag about the pastime.
"I haven't given too much thought to the draft," he said. "I'm going to just see what happens with it and then make a decision when it happens."
Coaches at both LSU and USC have agreed to let him play both sports at the collegiate level.

I'm pretty sure he will be calling," Jones said of Saban. "
Unfortunately for football fans, they will have to wait down to the wire for Jones' commitment to be announced, as he said he will not make it until signing day, where he will announce alongside three other athletes from Southern Lab.
