McCray still planning visits

Dullon, Florida linebacker Lerentee McCray committed to Miami yesterday, but that isn't stopping him from finishing taking his visits to LSU and Auburn this summer.

The 6-2, 205-pound backer recroded 102 tackles and 11 sacks, garnering all- area and all-region awards. McCray has picked up close to 40 offers, but decided that an early commitment to Miami seemed like the right thing to do.

"It just felt right in my heart," said McCray. "I talked with my mom and my coach and I let them know that I was ready to commit. I just called up Miami and told them I was ready to be a Miami Hurricane."

Three other teams still have piqued McCray's attention though.

"LSU is my number two or three school, tied in there with Florida," said McCray. "I'm still trying to take an unofficial visit this summer and they are definitely getting an official visit in the fall."

McCray may have made a commitment, but there are still some things he likes about LSU.

"I pretty much like their coaching staff," said McCray. "I like how they've been recruiting me. I get a text message like every day. I like Les Miles and everything about the school."

Note** McCray will also visit Auburn this summer. GPA 2.8 ACT 16 and is taking it over again.
