Nothing New On Tolliver?

Big play man

Rayville High School's superstar wide receiver, Chris Tolliver (6-1, 185, 4.5) is Louisiana's top ranked player on the offensive side of the ball and he has already gotten things going for his senior season.

"We just played our jamboree this past weekend and I guess you could say I did alright, said Tolliver."I returned a kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown."

Over the summer, Scout.Com's 4-star wide out injured his ankle and it hampered him throughout his summer workouts.

How close is he to recovering?

"I did ok in the game, but I still didn't feel like I was 100%," Tolliver stated. "I couldn't run like I wanted to but I'm hoping to be at full strength by like the second game of the season."

Last year the nation's 26th ranked wide out caught 76 passes for 1,521 yards and 17 touchdowns, earning him Class 3A All-State honors.

That performance also brought him scholarship offers from some of the country's top programs but the wide out claims to still be far from a decision.

"I haven't really broken a list of favorites or anything down yet," Tolliver explained. "I plan on making some official visits though. I am going to try to make the LSU vs. Alabama game. The only games I think I'd be able to make to Baton Rouge though would be either the Virginia Tech or Florida game."

What keeps the blue-chip receiver so interested in the Tigers?

"Even though I haven't spoken to any of the coach's lately, I am still very interested in LSU," Tolliver said. "I like their style and Baton Rouge is a great place for football. Plus, it is not too far from home and I like that."

Note: Tolliver also told TigerRag.com that his announcement will not be made until his senior season is over.
