EDuck.com, the Oregon site of TheInsiders.com Network, is reporting that freshman running back Chris Vincent has transfered to Oregon.

Marty Martindale of EDuck.com says Vincent is currently practicing with the scout team on the Eugene, Ore., campus.

Vincent enrolled at LSU last January and was given a look at both running back at safety in spring practice. He finished April with the offense and totaled 19 yards on three carries in the spring game.

A death in the family caused Vincent to miss practice time in August. He was the No. 5 tailback for the Tigers behind Domanick Davis, LaBrandon Toefield, Joseph Addai and Ryan Gilbert.

Vincent is a 1999 graduate of Neshiminy High School near Philadelphia. In his senior year there, he rushed for 1,245 yards and 16 touchdowns on 203 carries. His season included six 100-yard games and one 200-yard contest.

After failing to qualify for college, Vincent enrolled at Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, Pa., and rushed for 458 yards and two touchdowns in 2000.

Oregon was one of the many schools who had recruited Vincent from Neshiminy, along with Michigan State where Nick Saban was coach at the time.
