Dunnellon High School product Lerentee McCray (6'2, 200, 4.5) knows where his heart will always be, but cannot say the same about his signature just yet.

"Miami will always be in my heart if I decide to go there or not," said McCray. "They have been my favorite team my whole life and they probably always will be."

Thus far, McCray has taken an official to LSU and Tennessee, and he talked about the two trips and how they stacked up.

"My visit to Tennessee went pretty good," McCray stated. "Overall it was just as good as my visit to LSU. I thought the academic center at LSU was nicer than the one at Tennessee and that is probably the thing that stood out to me the most on my visit.

"However, I thought the players at Tennessee welcomed me a little more than the players at LSU. I think that may have been because most of the players I hung out with in Tennessee were from Florida. The only concern I have with Tennessee right now is their coaching situation. Most of the coaches that visited me are leaving now for other schools. I want to find out the reason behind them leaving."

It may appear that McCray felt a little more comfortable with his trip to Rocky Top but he said that LSU stays on his mind and for one big reason.

"National Championships," he said. "I think LSU has a chance to beat Ohio State by at least 20 points and to win another one. LSU plays against top caliber speed and talent everyday while Ohio St. might face it once a year. I think LSU will be the toughest team Ohio State will face this season. Ohio St. does not play with the same kind of intensity as LSU."

The 4-star weak side backer has three other visits that he can take and as of right now he has two scheduled and is a little iffy on the third.

"I plan on taking an official to Florida St. on January 11th and to Florida on January 18th, McCray added. "But, I'm not sure if or when I'll be taking a visit to South Carolina."
