Brown takes a ride

Lake Charles wide receiver Kenny Brown made the trek over I-10 to Baton Rouge for LSU's Junior Day, and all signs point to the weekend being a success.

"I had a really good time," Brown said. "I got to meet coach [Les] Miles and coach [D.J.] McCarthy, so that was pretty cool. There were a lot of kids on campus in the three groups, so they just had us walking around and touring the campus all day.

"Touring the football complex was really cool," added Brown. "Everything was super nice. We also went over to Death Valley and walked around inside. I liked it for sure."

After a day filled with meetings and walking tours, the chance to sit back and take in an LSU basketball game could not have come soon enough.

"That was a great way to close things down," Brown said. "I was in there just having fun, and the halftime ceremony was really cool to see. The whole weekend was just a good time."

Heading home, how do the Tigers stand with the in-state prospect moving forward?

"I will admit, this weekend made me look at things in a different light," Brown said. "I want to go to LSU more now than ever. I am just going to get back to working out and then the coaches will see more from me next summer at camp." Recommended Stories
