Loston originally committed to Texas A&M during his sophomore season and then backed off that pledge. He later committed to Clemson this past summer, but when Tommy Bowden was fired the 5-star safety decided to officially open things back up and de-committed.
Loston tentatively has an official visit scheduled to Alabama on Jan. 9 and he has already taken officials to Oregon and Texas A&M.
LSU now has 21 commitments and is currently ranked No. 4 in the Scout.com Team Rankings.
Scout.com will have much more on Loston’s announcement soon.
