Throughout the first quarter of play, the Indianapolis Colts looked like a team that was ready to concede its first loss of the year. The defense was unable to generate pressure on Matt Schaub, looked lost in coverage, and gave the Texans plenty of room to generate yards and take up chunks of time on the clock.   Full Story

The Cardinals might not be sure if Matt Leinart is their quarterback of the future, but they know now he at least can effectively replace Kurt Warner in the short term. Leinart started last Sunday for the first time since 2007 and completed 21 of 31 passes for 220 yards. He wasn't intercepted but he didn't throw a touchdown either.   Full Story

The Arizona Cardinals hung on to a first half lead that Kurt Warner created before he exited the game due to a blow to the head on Sunday against the St. Louis Rams. With Matt Leinart taking over, the win wasn't exactly what you would call pretty, but the "W" is still accounted for. Here is what what worked, what didn't and what's next for the division-leading Cardinals.   Full Story

Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt has defended backup quarterback Matt Leinart after each of his three appearances this season, but there's no disputing that Leinart has failed to impress. His best opportunity came Sunday in Arizona's 21-13 victory over the St. Louis Rams. The Cardinals led 21-3 when Kurt Warner left because of a concussion just before halftime.   Full Story

The Cardinals are ranked 11th in the NFL in offense, but there is plenty of room for growth over the second half of the season. The passing game already is dangerous, and the elements of that threat have been together for some time. What's been lacking is a consistent rushing attack, and the club is showing signs of being on the verge of developing that, too.   Full Story

The Arizona Cardinals have talked all season about their lack of consistency, but that problem is really coming from only one side of the ball: the defense. The offense seems to have ironed out its problems. And if anything, it's improving. Rookie running back Beanie Wells is growing weekly and has become a real threat. Coaches are working second-year receiver Early Doucet into the rotation.   Full Story
