Jones played cornerback and wide receiver as a senior, finishing with 96 tackles, two interceptions and 1,805 all-purpose yards as a receiver and kick returner.
In 2005, Jones began at quarterback before moving to wide receiver and corner. He projects at corner on the next level.
Football runs strong in the Jones family. Father Tony is the defensive backs coach at McGill-Toolen, and older brother Tiger Jones played for Louisville and is now a member of the Ottawa Renegades of the Canadian Football League. Carvel Jones is an outside linebacker at Mississippi State, and cousin Robert McCune is a rookie linebacker with the Washington Redskins.
