| Mackey is a field general that also happens to be a very good athlete. He’s capable of hurting a team with his legs, but does the bulk of his damage with his full field vision spotting the open receivers. He’s especially poised in the pocket, giving his receivers extra time to get open. He has a slight drop in his delivery that affects his accuracy at times, but overall delivers the ball on target, especially the deep throws - Scott Kennedy. |

Named National Offensive Juco Player of the Year after throwing for over 3, 800 yards, rushing for over 580, and totaling 32 TD's.
2008 Season
Named MACJC/Region 23 Offenisve Player of the Year and Region 23 MVP.
Mackey led the National Junior College Athletic Association in passing yards (281.8) and total offense (330.4).
