| Biography: |
| Coach Dennis Franchione is one of the most impressive college football coaches inthe country. He left New Mexico, TCU, and Alabama with complete turn-around programs as he left their program. The 51-year old Franchione had a 17-8 record for the Alabama Crimson Tide in two complete seasons. He left Alabama less than a year after the school was hit with NCAA sanctions. He was also 25-11 at TCU from 1998-2000. Coach Fran is expected to take the Aggies to a higher level in the Big-12 Conference.
The A&M board of regents has proposed a five-year contract for Coach Fran to take over the Aggies' football program. The offer to get him was believed to be worth $10 million to $11 million over a five-year contract.
